After making the difficult decision to pack up early today because of the heat, I've now been through all of my stock.![]()

Unfortunately, I've lost some of it, but thankfully I've managed to save a lot by getting it cooled down as quickly as possible. As many of you will have seen, it reached around 32°C, and even in the shade my cookies were melting. As much as we all love this sunshine, my cookies were no match for it!![]()

Rather than risk taking them back out into the heat tomorrow, I've decided to offer pre-order mystery bags for collection or local delivery instead.![]()

All of these cookies were freshly baked yesterday for this weekend's event. To stop the heat from ruining them, I've put them straight into the freezer to lock in that freshness and protect the quality. They haven't been sitting around – quite the opposite! I'd much rather freeze them while they're at their best than risk losing them completely to this heat. Because of that, I wouldn't recommend freezing them again once you've collected them.![]()

Despite being in the shade with a breeze, the temperature at the rally was around 32°C, and my cookies were simply melting. Even the stock stored in boxes on the ground, out of direct sunlight, was getting far too warm. I had to make the decision to bring everything home before I lost all of my stock.![]()

The last thing I ever want to do is sell anything that isn't up to the Let's Get Stuffed standard, or risk the quality or safety of my products. I'd much rather disappoint people today than take that chance.![]()

My gazebo is still up there, so I'm going to keep a very close eye on the weather this evening and tomorrow morning before deciding whether I'll be trading on Saturday and Sunday.![]()

You might notice in the photos that my display cases are empty at the moment. Don't panic—I haven't forgotten the cookies! 😄 The sun is right on the front of the gazebo at the moment, and I don't want them sitting there melting before the gates even open. As soon as the sun moves over the top of the gazebo, they'll be going straight into the display.![]()
